A Titled Life

Note: This is written based on a prompt provided by a prompt generator.

I remember keeping several diaries in my childhood. Having not experienced as much difficulty that time, I would write about what I saw during the day, the secrets people shared with me, and thoughts about the television shows I watched. It was such a help as I grew up rather timid and non-sociable.

Admittedly, I bloomed into myself as I grew up. I moved to the city as soon as I graduated from my provincial university and experienced a crash course in independence. They really should teach you bills and taxes in college.

Being in the city challenged me to grow into my self. And I’m continuously surprised by how much I can change and adapt. It’s also by being here that I noticed how much my growth and personal preferences were influenced by those around me.

I continue to meet new people, experience different things, eat new food, and more. But if there is every any constant variable in my life now, it’s that I always go back to writing.

Writing helps me in life. It’s with whenever I lose my way in life (and jobs), when I lose friends, or when I just want to be grateful for something or someone.

Putting my experiences into words is difficult but it was very crucial for me to do so. There is just something about writing that helped me understand everything around me and within me.

It saved me from giving up, and I’m humbled to know that it has been with me at the best times.
